The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold Single foiled habaki
Blade length : 36.4 cm or 14.33 inches.
Sori : 0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.82 cm or 1.11 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.98 cm or 0.77 inches.
Kasane :0.50 cm or 0.19 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun(1661-1672)
Shape : It is short size kowakizashi and the kissaki si long ended.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached, It is clear konuka(rice bran) pattern hada.
Hamon : Constructed in nie structure suguha,, the habuchi is soft and ashi is well attached.
The hamon is like morning mist. Boushi is round end.

Special feature : Oumi Daijyo Fujiwara Tadahiro is the son of first generation Tadayoshi.
At Kanei 9th year, when his father died, he has inherit Hashimoto family.
He has been surrounded by several good students and they have helped him forge swords,
but regardless of that fact, he had much skills from that time.
His early pieces show that he was imitating Musashi Daijyo and that he has high level skills.
He has received Oumi Daijyo at Kanei 18th period.
He has passed away at Genroku 6th year at age of 81 however, has made swords for around 60 years and there are numerous pieces left.
Most of his pieces is constructed in suguha with few midareba.
This sword has the typical characteristic of Oumi Daijyo Fujiwara Tadahiro piece. The condition of the jigane is strikingly good.
The great hand-written sayagaki by Kanzan sensei is something you cannot miss.
It is small size which express that this sword is daisho sword.
It is nice condition sword.

Koshirae : Handachi Koshirae
Tsuba : Octagon iron tsuba.
Fuchikashira : On iron plate, arabesque pattern is inlayed in silver.
Saya : Black colored Saya.
Menuki : On the plate, shishi is engraved with gold and copper.
Kozuka : On shakudo nanakoji plate, lobster is engraved.
