The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold single foil habaki
Blade length : 68.61cm or 27.1inches.
Sori : 2.55cm or 1inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.15cm or 1.24inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.24cm or 0.88inches.
Kasane : 0.80cm or inches.
Era : Lated Muromachi Period
Shape : It is rather wide shape with thick kasane and deep sori. It is long kissaki katana. We recommend the
shape.
Jitetsu : Itamehada with mix of mokume hada with jinie attached.
Hamon : Nie based suguha mix with deep nioiguchi. There are nijyuuba with koashi mix. At first glance it looks like Rai school work.

Special feature : Sukesada was a successful swordsmith along with Kiyomitsu during the late Muromachi era
. There are carefully made Zokumyou pieces while there are also Kazuuchi(mass produced) Bishuumei pieces. There are a few kizu in the ha but it is good shape ubu nakago piece. It is fairly nice piece with nice jigane and
faint utsuri.
Historical Background: At year Eiroku February

Koshirae : Daisho Handachi Koshirae
Tsuba : Tachi tsuba made by silver Ishimeji style.
Fuchikashira and Kojiri: Sliver Ishimeji style.
Saya : Deep green color with black pattern drawn. There is also gold inlay.
Menuki : Shakudou base with Lion design engraved.

Sayagaki: Bishuu Osafune Sukesada Hachou 1shaku 4sun 6bu ari Shouwa 53 nenn Kannzannshi
Translation of Sayagaki: (Made by Bishuu Osafune Sukesada) Blade length 44.1cm (Sayagaki written at) Shouwa
53year(year 1978) Written by Kanzan.

Blade length : 44.1cm or 17.37 inches.
Sori : 1.2cm or 0.47inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.89cm or 1.14inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.88cm or 0.74inches.
Kasane : 0.64cm or 0.27inches.
Era : Late Muromachi Period
Shape : The shape is rather wide and there is ample thickness with nice work
Jitetsu : Itame hada with mixture of mokume hada
Hamon :Nie base with little grained gonome mix with choji, ashi and ha mixed.

Special feature : Sukesada was successful swordsmith along with Kiyomitsu during the late Muromachi era.
There are carefully made Zokumyou pieces while there are also Kazuuchi(mass produced) Bishuumei pieces.
This piece is one of the kazuuchi piece but the jigane is in good condition and it is recognized different from the
other kazuuchi pieces.

Koshirae : Daisho Tachi Issaku Koshirae(All of this koshirae is made by same craftman)
Tsuba : tachi tsuba with black Ishimeji style.
Fuchikashira and Kojiri: Silver base Ishimeji kojiri.
Saya : Deep green color with black pattern drawn. There is also gold inlay.
Menuki : Shakudou base with Lion design engraved.

Koshirae: Daisho set with Wakasanuri painted on the saya. It is a very fine quality piece.
