Dai : Wakizashi in Shirasaya with Koshirae

Signature : Mumei(Taira Takada)

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Copper Single Foiled Habaki
Blade length : 59.8cm or 23.54 inches.
Sori : 1.2cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.74cm or 1.07 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.9cm or 0.74 inches.
Kasane : 0.6cm or 0.23 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi Period
Shape : It is regular width and thickness and some Sori curvature.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada with mixture of MOkume hada. JInie is attached. It is clear JItetsu.
Hamon : Konie deki gunome midare with much sunagashi appearing.

Special feature : From the gunome midare Hamon and nice JIgane,
it is most likely sword of Kanefusa school or Taira Takada but it is closer to Taira Takada.

Koshirae :
Tsuba :Plain Shakudo plate
Fuchikashira : Shakudo nanakoji plate design of hawk perching on pine is engraved and inlaid with gold.
Saya : Black Roiro saya
Menuki : Shakudo nanakoji plate with wave and rabbit design engraved
and inlaid with gold. It is the scene of white rabbit.

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Copper and silver double plate Habaki
Blade length : 45.6 cm or 17.95 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.76 cm or 1.08 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.97 cm or 0.77 inches.
Kasane : 0.62 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Edo period around Genroku.
Shape : It is wide and thick with deep Sori curviture. The shape is nice.
Jitetsu : Well grained Itame hada with Jinie attached. It is clear JIgane.
Hamon :Nie Deki gunome midare with sharp gunome midare combined.
There is some deep Nioiguchi.

Special feature : The signature is fake but it is most likely work of Mino province.

Koshirae :
Tsuba :Plain Shakudo plate
Fuchikashira : Shakudo nanakoji plate design of hawk perching
on pine is engraved and inlaid with gold.
Saya : Black Roiro saya
Menuki : Shakudo nanakoji plate with wave and rabbit design engraved
and inlaid with gold. It is the scene of white rabbit.
