Katana in Koshirae.

Signature : Hoki Kuni Ju Nobuhide
Heisei 18 nen 8 gatsu hi (August 2006)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to regular ranking.

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Silver single Habaki.
Blade length : 71.9 cm or 28.30 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.70 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.14 cm or 1.23 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.26 cm or 0.88 inches.
Kasane : 0.65 cm or 0.25 inches.
Weight of the blade: 730 grams.
Era : modern times.(August 2006)
Shape : Wide and rather thick blade. There is Bo-Hi on both side.
Jigane : Ko Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. It is clear Jigane.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome Midare and Choji Midare with Ashi and Yo.
Kissaki is round shape.

Special feature: Hoki Kuni Ju Nobuhide's real name is Maeda Hideshi.
He was born on August 18th 1928. He lived in Tottori prefecture.
He studied under his father Maeda Kitaro.
His blade is very sharp. Actually, his blade was used for Kabuto-Wari.
And then same blade was used to cut for 1000 times. It was succeeded.
This blade has Bo-Hi. So the weight is light and easy handling.
This blade is suitable for Iai and Batto do.

Koshirae : for Iai do.
Saya : Black Roiro Saya.
Fuchikashira: Iron, banboo design is engraved with gold color.
Tsuba : Iron Kamakura Tsuba. Edo period.
Menuki : monkey is engraved with gold color.
