Katana in Shirasaya(NBTHK Hozon paper)

Signature: Kanemori

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 70.0 cm or 27.55 inches.
Sori : 1.6 cm or 0.62 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.05cm or 1.20 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.04 cm or 0.80 inches.
Kasane : 0.78 cm or 0.30 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : It is rather wide and thick blade.
Jitetsu :Itame hada well grained with jinie attached.
Hamon : NIe base gunome midare style. There are much up and downs in the hamon. There are active sunagashi and kinsuji seen.

Special feature : The founder of the Kanemori started from Nanbokucyo period to late Muromachi period.
The sword belonged to Mino Akasaka group and a son of the Kanetoshi.
The blade is rather wide and thick active hamon.
On the moot side Hamachi area in Ha, there is kitae ware but not serious.
