Kinzogan signature : Kawachi no Kami Kunisuke Nidai(Second Generation)
Takahashi Uji

Shinto, Jyosaku, Wazamono, Settsu
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold double foiled habaki
Blade length : 70.4 cm or 27.71 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.16 cm or 1.24 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.21 cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.79 cm or 0.31 inches.
Era : Edo circa Kanbun
Shape : It is rather wide and thick long kissaki katana with
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached. It is clear jigane.
Hamon : From the hamachi area it is suguha and becomes gunome mixture.
Boushi is round irregular line . There are some silver line activity in the hamon.

Special feature : Kawachi no kami Kunisuke has lasted until 4th generation.
This second generation had another name called Nakakawachi sword smith and he was famous for burning kobushi(fist design) choji mix hamon.
As a settsu swordsmith, he has successfully made the jigane bright and gorgeous. The hamon is bright.
Boushi is round with some midarekomi.
It is very easy to identify at first glance that it is second generation Kunisuke.
It is absolutely second generation Kunisuke piece with good gold inlay kinzouganmei signature.
It is well made and although there is kinzougan signature, it is truly Kawachinokami Kunisuke.
