The blade was polished.
Blade length : 73.63cm or 28.98 inches.
Sori : 2.7 cm or 1.06 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.00cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.98cm or 0.77 inches.
Kasane : 0.71cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Mid Muromachi period.
Shape : It is regular width and thickness deep sori katana. Kissaki is long and elegant shape.
Jitetsu :Itame hada well grained with O-hada mixed. There is jinie attached and some fog like design seen.
Hamon : Nie Deki Choji midare. Boshi is Midarekomi style.

Special feature : Fujishima school is a descendant of Rai school that moved to Gaga province. They were activeduring early Muromachi period to late Edo Period. The jigane is black and the hada pattenr could be seen clearly. The hamon looks like Bizen swords at first glance however, there is much Shirake fog like Utsuri appearing and boshi is midarekomi style in many of the blade. They have nice deep sori as well.
This sword has clear hada pattern with elegant deep sori shape.
There are some small kizu in the jigane but it is not serious.

Koshirae :
Tsuba :Round shape iron tsuba with the fuchi made in flower design. There is alsoflower design on the plate. It is gold inlayed open work design. Late Edo Period
Fuchikashira : Shakudo plate with flower design engraved and inlayed with gold. mid Edo period
Saya : Kawari nuri Unique saya.
Menuki : Shakudo plate with flower design engraved and inlayed with gold. Mid Edo Period
