Tanto: Seki Jyu Masanao Saku

This Masanao belongs to regular Saku ranging.

The blade was polished.
Habaki: Silver Single Foiled Habaki
Blade length : 24.0 cm or 9.44 inches.
Sori : No Sori
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.35 cm or 0.92 inches.
Kasane : 0.60 cm or 0.23 inches.
Era : Modern
Shape : It is regular width and strong healthy tanto.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with flow of Masa and it is Muji style.
Hamon : Nie Deki Gunome Midare hamon. Ashi well attached.
There is Tobiyaki or islands of temperline mixed.
Boshi is sharp at the tip and turned back.

Special feature : It is assumed, from the hamon, that this sword
most likely imitated Samonji sword.
Seki Masanao, the sword smith, was active at Seki City, Gifu Prefecture.
He was a student of Kanehide and has focused on making sharp sword.
He had high reputation from those who practiced Batto.
It is slightly rough work because it is focusing on the sharpness.
This piece is made well by Masanao.
There is no Kizu or flaw.
