Signature : Awataguchi Oumi Kami Tadatsuna(2nd Ikkanshi Tadatsuna)

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 53.9 cm or 21.22 inches.
Sori : 1.5 cm or 0.6 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.15 cm or 1.24 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.18 cm or 0.85 inches.
Kasane : 0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Edo period. around Genroku era.
Shape : Wide and thick blade with deep Sori. Kissaki is long.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itamehada well grained with Jinie attached. This is beautiful Osaka Jigane.
Hamon : From Hamachi area, suguha hamon and then Gunome Midare with deep Nioikuchi.
It looks like Doranba. In Ha, there are Ashi and Sunagashi.

Special feature : 2nd generation Tadatsuna succeeded from his father first generation.
Tadatsuna is quite well known sword maker for making Horimono(engrave) on the sword.
Gnenraly his hamon is Ashinaga Choji midare (long legs hamon) with a lot of sunagashi in Ha.
But sometimes he made elegant active Doranba (oogunome midare) like this sword.
This blade has Oohada around the Monouchi part. But the other part is quite nice.
