Wakizashi: Harima Daijo Fujiwara Shigetaka 'the 2nd generation'

Wakizashi in Koshirae (Guarantee NBTHK Hozon Token)
Signature : Harima Daijo Fujiwara Shigetaka (the 2nd generation)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijo saku, Jojo saku Jo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jojo saku ranking.

The blade is polished.
Habaki : Silver and gold colored copper double Habaki.
Blade length : 58.4 cm or 23.0 inches.
Sori : 0.8 cm or 0.32 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.21 cm or 1.26 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.12 cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane :0.73 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era (AD1661~1672)
Shape : The blade is long almost sword length, wide and thick with small curve long Kissaki.
Jigane : Itame hada well grained with Jinie attach and texture can be seen well.
Hamon : Niedeki Gunome-midare up and down. Boshi is Midarekomi round shape.

Special feature : 2nd generation Shigetaka succeeded 2nd generation and continued up to 11th generation till late Edo period.
The 2nd generation signature are extended longer then the first generation (signature of the 1st generation is rather wide).
Jigane is blackish Hadatachi-jigane with viable texture.
This sword is having active Hamon and the size is nearly Katana length long Wakizashi. Condition is very good.
The signature is genuine.

Koshirae :
Saya : Black Ishime-ji Saya.
Tsuba : Some designs are engraved with gold color on oval shape iron Tsuba.
Menuki : Grape and leaves are engraved.
Fuchikashira : Butterfly is engraved on iron plate with gold color.
