Wakizashi: Mumie(Echizen seki school)

Wakizashi in Koshirae.

Signature : Mumie(unsigned) attributed as Echizen seki school.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to regular saku ranking.
Habaki :gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 50.1 cm or 19.72 inches.
Sori : 1.4 cm or 0.55 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.64cm or 1.03 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.93 cm or 0.75 inches.
Kasane : 0.64 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : The blade is regular size wakizasi.
Jitetsu :Itame had well grained with jinie attach and oohed mixed.

Hamon : Niedeki gunome midair with ashi scatter in Ha,

Special feature : From the jigane and hamon, the blade looks Echizen shinto.
Koshirae :
Tsuba :On the syakudo plate, rise up mimi(rim).
Fuchikashira :On the iron plate, karakusa style design are inlayed by silver line.
Saya : aogai chirashi(tiny blue shell powder spread.
Menuki : He nan chi are engraved by syakudo plait with gold color.
Kojiri:On the iron plate, karakusa style design are inlayed by silver line.
