Wakizashi : Noshu Seki-ju Kanesada

Wakizashi in Shirasaya(NBTHK Hozon paper)

Sue Koto:Cyujyo saki ranking: Oowaza mono cut well sword ranking.Mino province.

The blade was polished.
habaki : Silver foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 36.6 cm or 14.40 inches.
Sori : 0.8 cm or 0.31 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.08 cm or 1.21 inches.
Kasane : 0.58 cm or 0.22 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick sakizori style.
Boshi is engraved both sides of the blade.
Jitetsu : Iteme hada well grained with jinie attach and kawarigane appear and also shirake utsuri.
Hamon : Konie deki gunome midare and togari gunome midare mixed.

Special feature : At Mino province, Kanemoto and 2nd generation Kanesada both are top ranking sword makers.
These famous sword makers upgraded Mino school to high reputation as cut well swords.
This blade looks 3rd generation Kanesada but the final character is not clear enough but I think the blade must be 3rd generation Kanesada.
On the jigane, some kawarigane appear but these kawarigane might be changed after polish.
