(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This Yamashiro kami Minamoto Kunimichi belongs to Jyojyosaku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: Gold and silver double foiled habaki
Blade length : 50.9cm or 20.03 inches.
Sori : 1.6cm or 0.62 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.1cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.13cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.65cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Edo period Genroku
Shape : It is wide and thick with deep sori. It is thick wakizashi
Jitetsu :Itame hada well graine dwith jinie attached.
Hamon : Nie deki gunome midare with much ups and down in the ha.
It is deep nioiguchi with much sunagashi appearing.
Boshi is round and deep turn back.

Special feature : Yamashiro no kami Minamoto Kunimichi is a swordsmith of Iyo province.
Kikumon(chrysansemum chrest) is engraved on the tang and it is rustic style.
Mizuta Kunishigae style work and the hamon is undulating.
