Wakizashi in Shirasaya (NBTHK Hozon paper)

Signature : Ujinobu

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Copper single habaki.
Blade length : 45.4 cm or 17.87 inches.
Sori : 1.3 cm or 0.51 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.16 cm or 1.24 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.63 cm or 1.04 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Edo period Genroku era.(1688)
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with deeper sori and long oolissaki style boshi and engraved bo-hi on both sides of the blade.
The shape is gorgeous nice looking shape.
Jitetsu : Itame had well grained with jinie attach and visible to see the texture.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midair with thick nioikuchi.
In Hamon, there are sinagashi and weak kinsuji work.
Bo-shi is round shape Yakisage style.

Special feature : Ujinibu was a stream of the Hida Kami Ujifusa
